Sorry for the lack of updates, but this is the first sketch in a long time that I've actually done (outside of pen drawings in class xD ) My schedule's been rough, and still is, but after watching 5ds episode 80 I couldn't resist drawing it Dx

it's like, 'hey Yusei you do realize you're named after the machine gear your father created, right?'

'yeah.'

'....okay, cool then!'

it'd make sense that his dad could trust him to defeat the dark signers if he was programed to do so, AND his only obsessions are motor bikes (which his dad designed the engine for) and card games. SO if you were gonna model a cyborg to be the best duelist EVA (and save the world) who would you base him off? the best duelist EVA!!!!! (yami, by YGO world standards) which could be the reason why he looks kinda like him, and has a similar personality which some people were commenting on in the first few episodes of 5ds

also, it'd explain why he's so emotionless, but dueling is automatic for him, AND (without training) why he's such a good mechanic.
